The waterproof material Biothane® is often used in equestrian sports as an easy-care, durable and robust alternative to real leather. The care required for leather, such as greasing saddle accessories, is no longer necessary with stirrup leathers made from Biothane®. If necessary, this material can simply be cleaned superficially with a damp cloth. Another property that riders really appreciate is that Biothane® is still supple and not prone to cracking after years.
