The surface of the litter always remains loose and dry. Natural bitter substances remain in the straw and are generally not absorbed by the horse as feed. Linen litter is flame-retardant and provides good thermal insulation.
Ecoflax is particularly suitable for horses that have problems with their airways or hooves, or are prone to allergies.
Advantages over other types of bedding:
It absorbs 5-7 times its own weight in moisture. Due to its special cell structure, the ammonia is retained in the litter. This creates an improved stable climate (less smell, fewer insects and flies), and dust allergies and bronchial mucous membrane irritation are prevented.

How many bales do I need to sprinkle my horse box with ECOflax linseed bedding ?
First application:
- 4 bags for a box of 3 by 3 m
- 6 bags for a box of 4 by 4 m
Weekly:
- Spread out a bag to keep the volume level.
How do I proceed when I sprinkle my horse box with ECOflax linseed bedding for the first time?
- Clean the box thoroughly, disinfect it and rinse it with plenty of water.
- Sprinkle thickly on moist soil.
When should I completely replace the ECOflax linseed litter?
- The manufacturer recommends removing the litter, cleaning the box and adding new litter every 10 to 12 weeks.
I would like to switch from straw to ECOflax linen bedding. Should I take anything into account here?
- If you switch from traditional straw to ECOFLAX® bedding, it is recommended to give your horses a portion of straw or hay. The sudden change from edible to non-edible bedding is likely to cause distress for some horses.
How big is a bale of ECOflax linseed litter?
- a 25 kg bale is approx. 75 x 25 x 39 cm in size
- Depending on how hard the bales are pressed, the size may vary by 1-2 cm

Your order will be safely packed in a recycled box at our nearest warehouse location, using environmentally friendly filling material & paper tape with watercolor paint . We ship bulky goods on an untreated wooden pallet.
