Description

On the basis of high-quality hay and straw, the Icelandic needs a needs-based supply of trace elements, which in some cases has to be capped with zinc when changing the coat. In some cases, additional support for the liver with herbs containing bitter substances is also useful.

Bitter plant substances support bile flow and liver function. A weakened liver (for example due to silage, haylage or poor feed quality) provokes allergies and eczema.

Supplementary feed for horses

Here everything that glitters is gold!
Scientific studies have long shown that the trace element requirements can no longer be guaranteed by basic feed these days. The levels of zinc, copper, selenium and manganese in hay alone have fallen by half and thus significantly since the 1970s, depending on the soil pH.

Signs of trace element depletion
Signs of a depletion of trace elements are really diverse. They can begin with performance deficits and nervous disorders such as restlessness, jumpiness or psychological instability. Skin, coat and hoof problems also often occur. The coat change takes place slowly and in older horses the top hair begins to become longer and curly. The hooves grow slowly, are often brittle or prone to rot. Pigmentation disorders and incorrect coloring can occur.

Eczema and allergy
In particularly severe deficiency situations, feeding-related eczema and itching can occur, but also disorders of the immune system such as susceptibility to infections and an increased tendency to allergies.

Chronic bronchitis, indigestion with diarrhea or a tendency to waste water can also be caused by a lack of zinc, copper, manganese and selenium, as can tension, muscle problems, cartilage breakdown, osteoporosis, bone formation disorders and metabolic problems such as Equine Metabolic Syndrome (EMS) or Equine Cushing's Syndrome ( ECS).

Trace element deficiency in foals – a sad certainty
Numerous studies on horses have shown a connection between leg problems and a lack of trace elements, especially copper, in foals and growing horses. Zinc, copper, selenium and manganese deficiencies are now scientifically confirmed to be the cause of posture errors, short stature, as well as chip formation or osteochondrosis.

No. 4 worth its weight in gold – fast and highly efficient
dr. Weyrauch No. 4 Goldwert is characterized by the use of highly bioavailable trace elements in chelated form, which are embedded in a base of the finest herbal, spice, fruit and root components, through which nutrients are transported into the cell unproblematically and particularly quickly. The relationships between the trace elements are consistent and are based on the results of many years of research work. The binder-free, flavor-free and additive-free preparation, the absence of added bulk elements such as calcium, phosphorus or magnesium and artificial vitamins as well as the chelate form enable excellent trace element absorption without putting any strain on the metabolism. Due to the extremely economical use and high bioavailability that is only possible in this way, the risk of disruption of the mineral balance or displacement reactions is extremely low compared to many similar products. This means that even severe trace element deficiencies can be remedied reliably and in the long term. The use of exclusively organically bound trace elements also protects vitamin reserves (Shurson et al. 1996). No. 4 Goldwert is now recommended by many modern veterinarians and alternative practitioners with a clear conscience.

composition
dried herbs (parsley, coriander, basil, oregano, milk thistle, rosemary, horsetail), dried fruits (rose hip, fennel, juniper, anise), dried roots (carrot, beetroot), dried bark (cinnamon), linseed, brewer's yeast, garlic

Additives/kg
Zn 12,000.0 mg zinc (3b606) as an amino acid zinc chelate hydrate
Mn 12,000.0 mg manganese (E5) as amino acid manganese chelate hydrate
Fe 6,000.0 mg iron (E1) as amino acid iron chelate hydrate
Cu 2,500.0 mg copper (E4) as amino acid copper chelate hydrate
Se 25.0 mg selenium in org. Form (3b8.10) as selenium from Saccharomyces cerevisiae CNCM I-3060 (inactivated selenium yeast)
J 25.0 mg iodine (3b201) as potassium iodide
Co 50.0 mg cobalt (3b304) as coated cobalt (II) carbonate granules

Analytic components:
Crude protein 19%, crude fat 8%, crude fiber 19%, crude ash 11%, sodium 0%

Feeding recommendation:
30 to 45g (2 to 3 measuring spoons) daily. Small horses and ponies 30g (2 measuring spoons per day). No. 4 Goldwert can be fed successfully all year round.

Due to the increased trace element content, please do not feed more than 120g per horse per day.

No. 4 Goldwert is not an “all-in-one” mineral feed, but it fills exactly the nutrient gaps of the affected horses and thus helps to achieve greater long-term well-being than usual mineral feed. A year-round mineralization with No. 4 gold value is rounded off with the product Mg Magnesium in times of higher muscle strain or with No. 7 Fountain of Youth as a supply for older and weather-sensitive horses. No. 17 Fire Beam has proven itself as a vitamin supply during coat change and in the period of poor vegetation (November to February).

A combination of No. 4 Goldwert with our mineralizing products No. 1 Everything flows, No. 2 Stable, No. 19 Mordskerl, No. 21 Hard as nails and No. 28 Sandman is also very possible. A combination with inorganically oriented and therefore common mineral feeds on the market has proven to be not really effective in specific deficiency situations.
