Relaxing warmth or refreshing coolness: The reusable Equitherm thermal gaiter is ideal for cooling or warming horse legs. The cooling or warming effect lasts for several hours. Particularly noteworthy is the secure fit on the horse's leg, which is achieved through the anatomical shape. Putting it on is completely uncomplicated thanks to the integrated Velcro fasteners.
For easy cleaning, the gaiter is simply washed with water.
The Equitherm thermal gaiter has the decisive advantage that the skin does not soften and become sore, nor does it cause any hair loss.
Warm application:
Equitherm is simply heated in a warm water bath (up to 80°C) or in the microwave (up to 300°C) in 30-second intervals until the desired temperature is reached.
Cold application:
Place the Equitherm thermal gaiter in the refrigerator for a few hours for subsequent cold use. It is important to ensure that the Equitherm thermal gaiter does not freeze.
Plastics and foils can become hard and brittle when exposed to too much cold and can therefore break. If the gaiter does freeze, do not bend, stretch or heat it, but allow it to thaw carefully.
If handled properly, Equitherm thermal gaiters can be used again and again for years.
The thermogel in the gaiter is completely non-toxic.
A notice:
High or low temperatures that are unfavorable for the horse can be buffered by placing a cloth under the gaiter. The gaiter can be bandaged over for increased support and protection against damage. An additional bandaging pad over the gaiter extends the duration of effectiveness due to improved insulation.
